Lai Huen Poh leads the management team as Senior Managing Director, charting the strategic direction and driving business performance of RSP. With more than four decades of experience, he has spearheaded the firm’s expansion to markets in India, Dubai, Malaysia, China and Vietnam and forged strong client relationships. Huen Poh will draw on his years of experience, including the last 10 years in senior management, to inspire and impart skills and best practices to the next generation of leadership and beyond.
Apart from his track record in engineering landmark developments such as the Republic Plaza and ION Orchard, Huen Poh actively contributes to industry, serving on several of Building and Construction Authority (BCA)’s Committees such as the Construction Best Practice, Structural Robustness and on the International Panel of Experts on Construction. He is also a member of the BCA and Singapore Land Authority (SLA) Boards, and the BCA Academy Advisory Panel. For his long service on the Strata Titles Board, the Ministry of National Development conferred on him the Meritorious Service Award (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in 2011.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil), a Chartered Engineer (UK), and a member of several associations like the Association of Consulting Engineers, Institute of Civil Engineers and the Singapore Structural Steel Society. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Sheffield, UK.
Beh Swee Chiew has over 30 years of project and engineering experience in Singapore and the region, leading major projects covering a diverse range from strategic industrial developments in biopharmaceutical, marine & offshore, cleantech, to chemicals, manufacturing, logistics & ramp-up warehousing centres, retail & office, international schools, hospitality and residential.
As Managing Director and an ISO 9000 Internal Quality Auditor, he leads RSP's engineering division and is strongly focused on structural design excellence, good project management and delivery. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) and a senior member of The Institution Engineers in Singapore. Swee Chiew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
As Director of RSP, Jessica Lim has been leading the project management and structural engineering for various complex, large-scale and multidisciplinary projects in the residential, institutional, recreational and commercial sectors. With over 30 years of experience working on projects in Singapore, China, Saudi Arabia and Vietnam, she has led the engineering team involved in the design and construction of many iconic landmarks including Changi Airport Terminal 4, Upgrading of Changi Airport Terminal 2, CapitaGreen, ION Orchard and The Orchard Residences.
With her extensive experience and deep understanding of all aspects of design and construction, she is able to develop rigorous analysis of complex issues and devise innovative and practical integrated solutions to overcome operational and technical challenges.
She is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) and has a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (with Honours) from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore (formerly Nanyang Technological Institute).
Chan Kim Ming brings more than 30 years of engineering project experience to his work, overseeing major institutional, industrial and residential projects, from structural design development stage to completion. Some of his notable projects include the ITE College of East and Central and the Overseas Family School new campus.
He is dedicated to continually raising the bar on innovation and the quality level of design and delivery with his team and for his clients. He is an ISO 9000 Internal Quality Auditor. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer (Australia), a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) and a member of the Institute of Engineers in Singapore and Australia. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (with Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Lai Chi Kin has more than 27 years of engineering experience for a wide range of projects from office, to hospitality, industrial, retail and sports & recreation. Some of his key projects include the St Regis Hotel & Residences in both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Sky Habitat in Singapore and Vantage Bay at Johor Iskandar. As a Director and ISO Quality Manager, he oversees the quality audit management processes within RSP.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in both Singapore and Malaysia. He is also a senior member of the Institute of Engineers in Singapore and Malaysia and member of Singapore’s Structural Steel Society. He earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, USA.
Cheam Leng See brings more than 26 years of engineering and project management experience to her work. Her range of work covers industrial, hospitality, institutional, residential and offices. Some of her major projects include the Halliburton Completion Tools Manufacturing Plant, REC Integrated Solar Manufacturing Facility, BCA Academy Building and GEMS World Academy. She is an ISO 9000 Internal Quality Auditor. She earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Cai Silan has more than 20 years of engineering experience. She has worked on a range of major projects, from residential, hospitality to mixed developments. Some of key projects include Oxley Towers, Farrer Square and Holiday Inn Express Clarke Quay. She earned a Bachelor and Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Tsinghua University, China.
Anthony Tan has more than 27 years of engineering experience in a variety of projects including residential, educational, industrial and commercial developments. Some award-winning projects he has worked on are Dover MRT station, the Ascott Raffles Place and LASALLE College of the Arts. He received a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Toledo, Ohio USA.
Edwin Ong brings more than 28 years of engineering experience to his work, covering a diverse range of projects, including residential, industrial, institutional, healthcare, education and sports & recreation. Prior to joining RSP, he has worked on major projects like the Marina Bay Sands, City Square Mall, Singapore Sports Hub and the South Beach development. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil). He has earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Catherine Heng has more than 25 years of experience in Civil & Structural engineering. Her diversified portfolio covers residential, industrial, offices, retail, institutional, hospitality and sports and recreation projects. Some of the major projects which she has worked on include Carros Centre, Crowne Plaza at Changi Airport, Park Regis Hotel and Toll City. She graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil and Structural from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
Dr. Kong Sia Keong joined RSP Singapore in 2002 and was appointed Director of RSP Engineers Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia in 2007. He has over 20 years of experience in the design of structures that meet stringent seismic or wind design requirements. Besides Malaysia, he has undertaken projects in more than 10 overseas locations, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Riyadh, Accra, Delhi, Yangon, Mandalay, Jakarta, Ho Chi Minh City and Singapore.
He obtained his PhD in seismic retrofitting of existing buildings in 2003 from the National University of Singapore.
Ir. Tan Chee Hong started his engineering career as a Design Engineer with VSL Engineers Sdn. Bhd. which is a specialist post-tensioned contractor firm in 1993. In 1996, he joined RSP Architects KL as an in-house structural engineer for the architectural firm. In line with RSP's philosophy of developing a multidisciplinary consultancy practice, he had jointly set up RSP Engineers Sdn. Bhd. - the civil & structural engineering arm of RSP KL in 1998 and was appointed a Director in 2002.
Ir. Tan's engineering experience includes design and construction supervision involving both post-tensioned and RC conventional system in building developments. He is fully conversant with British and Australian Design Codes. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in Malaysia and a corporate member of the Institute of Engineers Malaysia. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from University of Newcastle, Australia.
