The InterlaceVertical stacking balances density, privacy |
The Project
At first glance, the dramatic stacking of 31 blocks is striking and huge at 8 hectares. Yet, the living environment manages to retain a sense of privacy and openness. Eight interconnected courtyards are set amidst lush greenery, filled with way-finding and barrier free access features, to create a community feel.

The Challenge
The challenge was to create a conducive environment with an expanse of space for living within an unconventional built form. These were achieved through meticulous planning of circulation paths in a hierarchical order, with deliberate planting in sky terraces and courtyards, to create the human scale.
