RSP signs strategic agreement
13 Nov 2018
RSP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Dareway Software Co., Ltd at the 20th Singapore-Shandong Business Council meeting held on 23 October in Shandong. Shandong is China's second most populous province with more than 100 million people, and this presents much opportunity for RSP in offering our expertise in design and engineering for the built sector.
RSP Senior Director, Lee Kut Cheung and Managing Director of RSP China, Shi Lu were part of an entourage on a four-day visit to Shandong with 60 other businessmen and officials, including Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry and Education Chee Hong Tat. The trip aims to seek new opportunities for Singapore and China to grow together as both countries evolve.
Mr Lee shared with the delegates at the meeting of the many architectural and planning projects in Shandong province carried out by RSP in the past years. The latest project in Jinan is Dareway Software Campus which RSP won through an architectural design competition. RSP’s Dareway office campus design draws its inspiration from the famous hot springs in Jinan City Shandong, specifically the Meihua Spring in Zhangqiu District that resembles plum blossoms.
The success of this project has led to Dareway, a set up by Shandong University, to sign the strategic MOU for RSP to be engaged in future architecture and master planning of high-tech software park developments in Shandong.
